Black and White Bathroom Wallpaper
Black and white is an excellent choice for a bathroom. The contrast will make the whole room feel clean and sharp. To soften it up a bit, try adding texture and pattern with an eco-friendly black and white wallpaper.
Modern Boho Neutral Bedroom
The neutral look above is my Diamond Stars duvet in neutral gray, with swirling block-printed modern abstract patterned sheets in a lighter cement or clay color, and dark boho moons pillow shams.
Dark Green Boho Bedroom Inspiration
Here in this bedding collection I’ve pulled together sage green striped sheets, a dark emerald green boho butterfly duvet, pillows in coffee brown gingham, spotted shams, and dark green curtains.
Quiet Boho Blues
Blue is a great color for a calm quiet room like a bedroom or a reading area, also great for baths.
Studio Log: Color Swatches and Hare Studies
And then I started drawing hares. I love their mischievous and chaotic energy, at any moment they might scurry away.
Vintage Greens and warm neutrals Color palette
I was color swatching for a watercolor painting study recently and decided to pull together a few of my green patterns in similar colors to create a palette.
Project: Frog in the rhubarb
I’m always trying to improve and get my images closer to what I see in mind. This month I took Botanical Watercolor Painting taught by Helena Smyth at Domestika.
Nostalgic Art with Green Geometric Wallpaper
I call this painting Dance Floor, it is from my nostalgic retro collection, House Party. I just released a version as an extra large 20” by 40” fine art print, check it out here.
Retro Nostalgic Art with White Moon Wallpaper
This painting is titled Makeout Couch and I’ve paired it here with my pale yellow and white bohemian moon cycle wallpaper.
Warm Neutral Wallpaper with Retro Art and Boho Curtains
I call this painting Sway and I’ve paired it here with my butterscotch yellow modern abstract swirl wallpaper, and golden brown block printed boho curtains.
Yellow Butterfly Wallpaper and matching pilllows
Here I’ve combined my butterfly wallpaper with a pattern I call riverbed made of abstract marks in navy blue on dark yellow, and a coffee brown watercolor gingham.
Studio Log : Folk Florals, and a new painting
I’ve been wanting to do more botanical and floral patterns, and have been filling my sketchbook with lots of experiments with those subjects.
Creamy White Cottagecore floral: Curtains and Kitchen Linens
I created this creamy white all-over floral pattern for a fairly recent Spoonflower challenge. Would look great in a vintage styled cabin or cottage setting, or for anyone who loves pollinators!
Terracotta and Brick Reds for a Warm Living Room
I’ve been really into rusty shades of red. Lava red, brick red, terracotta, I love how much it warms up a room. These are my newest designs in warm shades of red.
Fine Art Print : Vintage Americana Style
I have an ongoing series of paintings using references from my collection of antique photos. This painting is inspired by an old photo of my grandfather when he was a teen. I think it’s probably around 1949 or 1950 somewhere in the southern US.
Studio Log : Floral Sketchbook Studies
I’ve been exploring decorative arrangements, and small compositions while also experimenting with ink blocks and oil pastels.
Cozy Romantic Bedroom Design Inspo
I kind of fell in love with this little floral pattern in lilac pink and brown (look close to see the bees buzzing about). When I saw a prompt looking for dark and cozy bedroom ideas, it came back to mind. I paired it with a dark burgundy purple stripe to balance the floral, and a super cozy vintage-inspired brown plaid.
A Nostalgic and Happy Painting
I fell in love with the original photo because of the expression of the woman on the left. She is so clearly enamored with the main subject, I love the look of amusement on her face.
Tea Dyeing Low Volume Blenders
For the block backgrounds I had enough low volume blenders, but the common color was a cooler gray, and I wanted something slightly warmer, so I decided to try dying them with tea.
Boho Botanical Bedding Collection
A couple months back Spoonflower challenged their artists to curate a bedding collection. For the challenge I pulled together a cross-section of patterns. I wanted a warm and cozy bohemian vibe.
